About

Just like you, I am a person who “wears many hats.”  My hats include wife, mother, daughter, friend, confidante, and teacher.  I could also mention other ones like chicken wrangler, maid, mechanic, gardener, photography enthusiastnature-lover, etc.  What gives me a merry heart is that, no matter which hat(s) I’m wearing at the time, I am always striving to be a christian first and foremost.

At the beginning of 2015, my daughter asked me if she could start a blog.  My initial response was “Blog?  What’s a blog?”  I decided to check it out for myself first, and so began an interesting journey through cyberspace…

This Merry Hearts Medicine site is my first attempt at bloggingMerry Hearts Medicine logo with a rainbow in the background I hope it brightens your day, at least just a little.  On this site, you’ll find thoughts about happiness, thankfulness, relationships, photography, homeschooling, and other varied tidbits.  Thanks for stopping by!

I have added a page called “Reasons to Smile.”  It’s a place where we can share things we are thankful for and encourage one another.  Please check it out and share your ideas!  Thanks!

    • So sweet of you to say that, Laura. I’ve missed me on here, too. Lol Life has just been so busy that blogging got pushed way down my to-do list. It made me sad that in January (and following), I didn’t even get my end-of-the-month memory post written (“Moments of Joy”). I thought I’d always be able to keep up with something that was only once per month! I haven’t made time for my photography, either. Maybe some day soon things will slow down.

      • Thanks for your kind thoughts. I didn’t think anyone noticed I left. No big deal, though. I blog for the fun of it and as sort of a journal for my daughter to read some day. If I was writing to get attention/followers, I’d be sorely depressed! Ha Trying to grow a following feels too much like a job to me–a job with no pay!
