In years past I had read this story, but I cannot remember where.  It is thought-provoking and worth the time invested to read and apply it.  Although it is a fictional story, it definitely carries a proven kernel of truth.

Her name was Mrs. Thompson. As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children a lie.
